Lost And Found
Someone came in today and asked... "why do ya'll fool with lost and found, and Used Discs.... Most stores don't bother with them, as theres always been a stigma around USED discs as a whole."
For Years before Starting Elemental, I was Known for being one of the local lake guys who would get discs back to their owners as often as possible. Over the Years We have streamlined our process and begun using Disc Defender to notify people of their lost discs, as well as bring transparency to the local "Lost and Found" as we don't have a centralized Lost and Found System, which allows us to hold discs for up to 45 Days, in an attempt to return them.

We believe that getting discs back to their original owners helps grow our local disc golf community, as It keeps players from being discouraged when they lose a disc on a challenging hole, that may be above their current skill level.
At the Same time, there are always Discs that won't find their way back to their original owner, no matter how transparent you attempt to be. With these, Base Plastic is often donated to local causes that promote the sport to newer players (such as our local Vets Disc Golf Club (Vets DGC) ) ... and premium Plastic is placed into the used section of our store, along with trade ins, and store tester discs.

However, We also recognized that there is always a Strong debate on "Lost and found discs", So we decided to go a Step Further... We Use $1 from the sale of EVERY used disc (Regardless of source) to buy starter Packs for Local Students, While also giving disc golfers a chance to try a mold for cheap, that they may not have otherwise tried.
In Our first Year alone, we donated 33 Starter Packs to Local Students to get them involved in the sport for FREE, and help grow the local Disc Golf Community... and We hope to donate more this year!
